Phoenix Roebelenii, the miniature date palm is a hardy, easy-going palm which given the right conditions can flower in homes, but sadly not produce dates.
Thrives in bright indirect light, but can handle partial shade.
Water when the soil dry to the touch. Phoenix palms like to stay moist during the summer. In the winter water sparingly, and allow to dry out slightly between waterings.
Phoenix palms are happy in the drier conditions of our homes, and only benefit from misting during heat waves.
Browning fronds: soil too dry, light levels too low.
