Amazing, showy plants with impressive white or purple flowers in summer.

When planting keep their roots constrained, choosing a pot only slightly bigger than the nursery pot. Make sure it isn't your favourite terracotta as the saying goes, don't repot until the roots break the pot.

As Mediterranean plants they like good drainage and are drought tolerant, but during summer can be given a good watering a few times a week.

Place in full sun and reduce watering in winter.

Choose between white or purple blooms which flower from mid-summer to autumn.

For no fuss or mess you can put the plant in the growing pot it arrives in straight inside a decorative one. This also allows allows excess water to be drained after watering.

For a good fit the opening (not diameter) and height of the new decorative pot need to be several centimetres greater than the current growing pot.
