The rubber plant is a classic worthy of any corner in your home. It needs very little care compared with other plants in the ficus family and can deal with lower light levels.
Best space & place
This ficus, like most others is happiest situated in indirect bright light. It is happy in most rooms, with a minimum temperature of 12°C. It does not like draughts and this can cause the leaves to discolour.
When to water & feed
Allow the top two inches of soil to dry out between waterings. Apply a general purpose houseplant feed like in the summer months. Reduce watering in winter.

The leaves benefit from a damp wipe from time to time to remove dust, facilitate more light transmission, and keep looking glossy. They can lose leaves when settling in but they are soon replaced.
