For no fuss or mess you can put the plant in the growing pot it arrives in straight inside a decorative one. This also allows allows excess water to be drained after watering.

For a good fit the opening (not diameter) and height of the new decorative pot need to be several centimetres greater than the current growing pot.

Remember to take into account tapering, as the internal height of a pot will be measured from the centre to the top but the sides will taper in on a rounded pot.

Water when the top 2-3 cm of soil feels dry. Avoid overwatering, as it is prone to root rot.

Temperature

Thrives between 18-25°C. Protect from cold draughts.

Feeding

Feed with a balanced liquid fertiliser once a month during the growing season (spring & summer).

Top Tip

Thrives in average indoor humidity but benefits from occasional misting.

Pilea Peperomioides, commonly known as the Chinese Money Plant, Pancake Plant, or UFO Plant, is known for its unique round and coin-like leaves.

Native to the Yunnan province of China, it was first introduced to Europe in the 1940s by a Norwegian missionary, hence sometimes it is called the Missionary Plant.
