Magically scented evergreen Jasmine. One of our most popular garden plants, for its all year round screening and wonderfully scented long lasting flowers from spring to late summer.

This vigorous twining woody climber with it glossy dark green oval leaves turns a deep deep red in winter.

Best space & place

Trachelospermum thrives in a sunny spot with free-draining soil. It can do okay in dappled shade but not full shade. Happily grown in a container in a good quality multipurpose or peat-free compost.

When to water & feed

Water plants freely during the growing season (especially container-grown specimens) to ensure that they don’t dry out. Water only sparingly during the winter, allowing the surface of the compost to dry out between watering.

Need to know
A very self-sufficient plant once established. Late frost can damage early blooms so protect if likely. Under or over watering when in a container can cause dry leaves or root rot.

Add our potting service (indoor / outdoor) to your order when buying a plant and pot together and our expert team will deliver your plant potted.
Indoor plants will be potted with a liner, in-built water reservoir and gauge and a decorative toping of your choice, giving a professional finish but also making care easier.
Our outdoor potting service includes soil and a decorative topping.
For potting in pots not purchased from us, please contact us for a quotation.
Our expert guides on how to keep your plants looking their best are all available to view online.
We also offer one-off maintenance visits and packages for larger schemes.

For no fuss or mess you can put the plant in the growing pot it arrives in straight inside a decorative one. This also allows allows excess water to be drained after watering.

For a good fit the opening (not diameter) and height of the new decorative pot need to be several centimetres greater than the current growing pot.

Remember to take into account tapering, as the internal height of a pot will be measured from the centre to the top but the sides will taper in on a rounded pot.
