For no fuss or mess you can put the plant in the growing pot it arrives in straight inside a decorative one. This also allows allows excess water to be drained after watering.

For a good fit the opening (not diameter) and height of the new decorative pot need to be several centimetres greater than the current growing pot.

Remember to take into account tapering, as the internal height of a pot will be measured from the centre to the top but the sides will taper in on a rounded pot.

Add our potting service (indoor / outdoor) to your order when buying a plant and pot together and our expert team will deliver your plant potted.

Indoor plants will be potted with a liner, in-built water reservoir and gauge and a decorative toping of your choice, giving a professional finish but also making care easier.

Our outdoor potting service includes soil and a decorative topping.

Select a decorative pot with an opening of 3-10cm bigger than the nursery pot. Plants should move up incrementally in pot size so do not choose a decorative pot with an opening more than 10cm larger than the nursery pot..

Assembly

Plant and pot combinations up to 40cm in diameter are potted at our nursery and delivered already assembled.

When the decorative pot is over 40cm in diameter or the plant taller than 200cm then these will be prepared at our nursery but will need to be assembled on site.

Initial Care

Our potting service includes a water meter to show how much water has passed through the plant and sitting in the bottom. This is not self-watering to begin with and the reservoir is there primarily to hold excess water and prevent root rot.

Bespoke quotations

This service is for when the plant and pot are purchased together. For existing or pots bought elsewhere or built-in / already installed planters please contact us for a bespoke quotation. Please note we cannot pot plants not purchased from us.

Let us get our hands dirty and pot up your plant in its pot. The service includes the liner and growing medium. Decorative gravel or moss can be chosen.

Where the decorative pot chosen is large enough our potting service will include a built-in water gauge to measure the amount of water sitting in the reservoir below.

The price listed is per plant by chosen decorative pot size. The team will check the suitable decorative pot has been chosen for the plant, and will notify you of any change in potting service charge, or if the combination is not suitable.
