Broad giant green leaves upon a thick woody stem make this the only Philodendron worthy of being called a tree.

For no fuss or mess you can put the plant in the growing pot it arrives in straight inside a decorative one. This also allows allows excess water to be drained after watering.

For a good fit the opening (not diameter) and height of the new decorative pot need to be several centimetres greater than the current growing pot.

Remember to take into account tapering, as the internal height of a pot will be measured from the centre to the top but the sides will taper in on a rounded pot.

Best space & place
Position in bright filtered light with shade from hot sun, mist daily. When in growth water moderately and apply a balanced liquid fertilizer monthly. Water sparingly in winter months.

When to water & feed
Keep constantly slightly moist, but not soggy. 

Need to know
The big leaves are prone to tearing as they are just so large. Best snip out any that have seen better days and await new great ones.
