A star clematis due it its glossy evergreen leaves. This vigorous climber bears fragrant creamy-white flowers in early to mid spring.
Best space & place
This clematis is perfect for growing against a sunny west or south-facing wal, and being evergreen, it retains glossy leaves throughout the year.
When to water & feed
Plants in the ground will not need watering once established, but in pots will need regular watering in summer.

Pruning isn't necessary but if required do so after flowering. (Pruning Group One)
For no fuss or mess you can put the plant in the growing pot it arrives in straight inside a decorative one. This also allows allows excess water to be drained after watering.
For a good fit the opening (not diameter) and height of the new decorative pot need to be several centimetres greater than the current growing pot.
Remember to take into account tapering, as the internal height of a pot will be measured from the centre to the top but the sides will taper in on a rounded pot.
