This is a superweapon in the arsenal of the plantscaper, as it is one of the only tree-like indoor plants that can withstand low light spots. These are some of the toughest plants known to indoor growers.
This terrific tropical specimen has a ruby-green leaf bringing much needed vibrancy to shady narrow spots in the home.
Best space & place
It prefers a bright or lightly shaded spot but will also tolerate lower light levels.
When to water & feed
It likes humidity so mist more than you water. Only water when the soil has become dry.
Need to know
Wipe the leaves occasionally to keep them dust free and shiny, removing any that have died to allow new leaves to grow in their place.

For a good fit the opening (not diameter) and height of the new decorative pot need to be several centimetres greater than the current growing pot.
Remember to take into account tapering, as the internal height of a pot will be measured from the centre to the top but the sides will taper in on a rounded pot.
