Top Tip
Ficus Benghalensis 'Audrey'
Bengal Fig Tree
A different kind of fiddle-leaf fig, with white veined leaves and a pale single steam. Not only does it add a lighter touch to your home, it is a very forgiving houseplant.
This plant is a natural air purifier and can remove toxins from the air.
Ficus Benghalensis, commonly known as the banyan fig or Indian banyan, is a tree native to the Indian subcontinent. Specimens in India are among the largest trees in the world by canopy coverage.
The best space & place
This ficus, like most others is happiest situated in indirect bright light. It is happy in most rooms, with a temperature of 16-24°C. It does not like draughts and this can cause the leaves to discolour.
When to water & feed
Allow the top two inches of soil to dry out between waterings. Apply a general purpose houseplant feed like Mir in the summer months.
Need to know
When trimming leaves to create a desirable shape, a sap will bleed, which is an irritant and should be kept away from eyes, pets and children.
Please note that ficus commonly lose leaves when becoming used to their new home, and this is perfectly normal and once settled will stop losing its leaves.
