Silver Queen is named for its regal stature and grace. These specimen bushes work perfectly in a pot as a single statement.
It is a large evergreen shrub with rounded greyish-green leaves narrowly margined with creamy-white. Small deep purple flowers sparsely produced.
How to Grow
Easy to grow in fertile, moist but well-drained, soil. May need protection in colder climes especially from cold, drying winds. Plant in full sun for the best leaf effect.
For no fuss or mess you can put the plant in the growing pot it arrives in straight inside a decorative one. This also allows allows excess water to be drained after watering.
For a good fit the opening (not diameter) and height of the new decorative pot need to be several centimetres greater than the current growing pot.
Remember to take into account tapering, as the internal height of a pot will be measured from the centre to the top but the sides will taper in on a rounded pot.
