KWÃNT Mayfair

KWÃNT Mayfair

Brief

The brainchild of Erik Lorincz, regularly named the world's best bartender, Kwant is his first outpost in London. He came to us looking to enhance the space with planting that fit the mix of old world charm with a modern revival. To fit with this elegant bar adorned with hand-painted Polynesian tapa art and retro-style furnishings, he required statement planting to pair with the ambience of vintage cocktails.

Solution

The bar was adorned with palms of all kinds to fit the vision and design language of the space. The feature plants were a pair of majestic Manila palms that sit symmetrically against the columns, and with a preference for dappled light, they were specified to work with the blinds.

To continue with palms to suit the inspiration of a far flung bar, Kentia palms and Lady Palms were selected for spaces in the bar that are lower light.

Other plants to feature are Fig trees and Birds of Paradise.
