Large Copper Garden Planter — One-Off

The exact piece pictured is the one that arrives.

Hand-crafted copper in a traditional tapered form — a rolled rim above, a band of decorative rivets below. Years outdoors have taken it to a full verdigris: green over the old copper, uneven, the kind of surface no finish reproduces.

53cm across the mouth and 40cm high, with 41cm of depth inside; 57cm at its widest. Substantial enough to hold an olive or a small tree outside, quiet enough to work indoors as a vessel.

Condition: used, outdoor stored. Age-related wear, surface scratches, verdigris patination and weathering consistent with outdoor use. No obvious holes or structural damage.

Design Details

Copper is frost-hardy and can stay outdoors year round; the verdigris will go on developing.

There is no drainage hole, so plant potted within, or sit the nursery pot inside on a liner and pour off any standing water.

Clean with water and a soft cloth only — never polish or use a copper cleaner. The patina is the value.
