An Evening with London's Designers at the Chelsea Showroom

On Thursday evening we opened the Chelsea showroom to some of London's interior and garden designers — an evening among the specimens, with wine in hand and the Yucca rostrata holding court outside the door.

The conversations ran from cloud pruned ilex to the eternal question of what survives a north-facing drawing room (fatsia, since you ask). Mostly, though, it confirmed something we've believed since the beginning: designers want planting they can specify like furniture — published prices, real specimens, delivered ready-planted — and their clients want to own what's in their home.

To every designer who came: thank you, and welcome to the trade programme. To those we missed — the showroom is open, the trade registration takes a minute, and there's always a plant worth visiting.

Next at the showroom: our Seasonal Basket Masterclass, 22 & 25 July — limited seats.
