Branched Corn Tree
Need to know
This is a superweapon in the arsenal of the plantscaper, as it is one of the only tree looking indoor plants that can withstand low light spots. These are some of the toughest plants known to indoor growers.
The corn tree as it is commonly known, also the dragon tree, as it has a red line running along the edge of each leaf, is a low maintenance plant that can last for years.
These slender tall specimens have been selected for their tree like appearance, to bring that look to spaces that aren't blessed with great amounts of light.
Best space & place
It prefers a bright or lightly shaded spot but will also tolerate lower light levels.
When to water & feed
It likes moist growing media but is tolerant of erratic watering.
Need to know
Wipe the leaves occasionally to keep them dust free and shiny, pulling any that have died off.
Pollutant Absorption Credentials
The Red-edged Dracaena has been shown to help improve indoor pollution by removing some benzene, formaldehyde, trichloroethylene and xylene from the air – 4 of the 5 pollutants! These toxins are given off by many common household items like plastics, dyes, furniture wax, glues, paints, and air fresheners.
